Boost Collaborative owns and operates Palouse Treasures thrift store in Pullman, WA, as a social-entrepreneurial business enterprise. Palouse Treasures has been a part of the community since 2003. Palouse Treasures serves an important purpose as a community based, inclusive employment training site for adults with disabilities, and gives local residents a way to support the mission and services of Boost Collaborative through donations and sales. Proceeds from thrift store sales help diversify Boost Collaborative's funding sources from state contracts.
As a training site, Palouse Treasures provides paid employment and job training in the retail industry for approximately 24 individuals with disabilities in any given month. The work environment is inclusive with co-workers without disabilities and store customers.
