Gerald's Story

Gerald started in the Boost Collaborative Employment Support Services program as a Transition Student from a small rural school in Whitman County. He quickly showed us his hard work ethic, ability to follow directions and getting along well with others. After being in Transition services Gerald went through the Vocational Rehabilitation process and landed a part-time job at McDonald's in Pullman. He started off working a few hours per day as a lobby attendant, now working almost full days and learning new responsibilities within the restaurant.

When asked about the services he received at Boost Collaborative, Gerald said, "Boost Collaborative has helped me become a better worker. The coaches taught me customer service, how to work as a team on the mobile crew and how to work independently at the thrift store.  Before Boost Collaborative I mowed lawns for my Grandpa, now I have my first real job."
